The history of music is the history of humanity.

This book has two parts which constitute an interesting, balanced and entertaining summary of the musical phenomenon: on the one hand, a history of music and the orchestra, which reviews its origins in different civilisations, the main methods of producing it (strings, bows, reeds, valves, heads and mallets, keys and hammers), the evolution of the orchestra from the baroque to today's symphony orchestra, the different types of music (chamber, folk, band, jazz, country, rock and pop) and the main performers, composers and conductors of all times.

CONTENT: The second part is dedicated to the instruments: history, characteristics, varieties of instruments, as well as the most famous masters who have composed music.
